Coalition PLUS: A Global Network for Social Transformation and Community Empowerment
Coalition PLUS consist of 10 geographical, thematic, and linguistic networks which are Europe, MENA, West Africa, Central and East Africa, AGCS PLUS, Americas – Caribbean, Indian Ocean, RIGHT PLUS, Portuguese – speaking network and Southeast Asia. Guiding principles to create network are decentralized and shared sub-regional governance, an objective of social transformation and promoting the community – based approach.
Malaysian AIDS Council:
A Regional Leader in HIV/AIDS Response and Community Empowerment
SASEA Platform is a collaborative platform of partners that consist of several South Asia and Southeast Asian region non-governmental agencies.
Malaysian AIDS Council, representing Malaysia, holds a special position within Coalition Plus as a regional leader in HIV/AIDS and viral hepatitis response.
Our achievement in PMCT (prevention from mother-to-child transmission of HIV), harm reduction programs for People Who Use Drugs, wide availability for treatment, and strong private sector involvement in HIV/AIDS response have earned widespread respect within the Coalition Plus community.
In recognition of these efforts, MAC was appointed in 2023 to lead the South Asia – Southeast Asia (SASEA) Platform for Coalition Plus.
