The activity on Capacity Building for Service Delivery of HBV Micro-Elimination was conducted in East Nusa Tenggara, focusing on preventing the transmission of Hepatitis B from mother to child. The event, held on November 6-7, 2023, was a collaborative effort involving Yayasan Peduli Hati Bangsa, the Indonesian Ministry of Health, and the Sikka Regency Health Office.
Key Highlights:
- Training Participants: 40 healthcare providers, including doctors, nurses, midwives, and laboratory personnel from 13 facilities, received training on increasing knowledge and skills in HBV micro-elimination.
- Target Population: Pregnant women in the Sikka Regency, where HBsAg testing revealed a 35% rate, identified 81 women with HBsAg+ from January to August 2023.
- Topics Covered: The role of the community in HBV elimination, understanding liver functions, HBV prevention and transmission, vaccination programs, and the rights of HBV-positive individuals.
