International Testing Week & The Official Launching Of The Platform – 2023
The International Testing Week 2023 kicked off with the official launch of the South and Southeast Asia (SASEA) Platform, bringing together healthcare leaders, community representatives, and international stakeholders in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event focused on enhancing testing strategies to combat HIV, Hepatitis, and TB, emphasizing the pivotal role of community involvement in achieving global health goals.

Key sessions included:
- Community-Led Testing Strategies: Speakers highlighted differentiated HIV services, HBV micro-elimination efforts, and community-based testing initiatives from across Asia and the Indian Ocean.
- Panel Discussions: Experts from TREAT Asia, UNAIDS, and the Southeast Asia Harm Reduction Association discussed the importance of affordable medicine, harm reduction, and innovative testing models.
- Official Launch: The Deputy Minister of Health, alongside global health leaders, launched the SASEA Platform and ITW 2023, underscoring the importance of regional collaboration in eliminating these epidemics.
